With that last post, “Oz”, Steve Hays has made the 10,000th blog post on Triablogue. If you check the archives link on the right, it seems as if the first Triablogue post was NOT made by Steve, some time back in April 2004.
Congratulations, everyone. Thank you so much for this blog and your amazing clarion-clear insight into almost every difficult theological subject I could dream of. I read this blog everyday, and I wish I could download the entire blog- comments and all, onto my computer and back it up so that I would never have to worry about losing it.
I especially thank Steve Hays for his articles. They're the cream of the crop, and they helped me to understand what the Bible says in the face of a lot of legalism and mock piety in the world today. If I had to pay a monthly subscription fee to Triablogue just to read your articles, Steve, I would. They are that good, clear, and edifying.
P.S. If anyone knows how to save all the Triablogue posts with their comments onto a computer besides endlessly copying and pasting, please let me know. Some means of saving the entire website offline so that I can always read it and reference it anytime I like. I'd greatly appreciate it.
"This is an experimental blog with two who've never blogged but should and one who just started blogging but struggles to find the time. I'm hoping this will give a public outlet to all of the wisdom and provocative thoughts of my two as of yet blogless friends. Gentleman, after you..."
Hi Mathetes. The re-design was not tied to this "event", but I think there is definitely some interest in making the archives more accessible, and the new template enables that.
Not sure if you are looking for feedback on the new look or not, but I found the older simple look much better. Loaded faster, easier to read on screen, and much easier to print. Now the sidebar takes up about 15± of paper per article when printed.
I notice that the 10,000 post number includes draft posts - posts that haven't been published. Looking forward to the 10,000th published post in a week or two at the rate of posting we've been seeing lately.
As a controlling shareholder in HaysCorp™, I approve of the redesign.
Nevertheless, I recommend that the background image, instead of displaying celestial images, be replaced with a picture of kittens playing with bunnies in a field of lillies.
This should help take the edge off any posts dealing with double predestination, reprobation, and/or eternal damnation.

There was some talk behind the scenes about this. I have to take full responsibility for putting this one up. I had in mind some sort of "Babe Ruth" purity (60) vs a Roger Maris kind of not-quite-pure record (61* -- 162 game season).
Not even getting into the Mark McGuire / Barry Bonds / steroids kind of thing.
Tblog will be at the "real" 10000 posts in the not too distant future, but the Blogger counter will show "10,271" or something like that. It's not as striking as a round number.

For the win, man! Epic epic win! And how considerate for the Arminian readers.
Great milestone, gents! Good work.

You could try something like HTTrack.
ReplyDeleteRocking, would that work with a site that's as big as T-Blog?
ReplyDeleteYeah, it should. At least it did when I last used it.
ReplyDeleteI should say I forget if comments were saved too. I think they were, but I'm not 100% sure.
There are probably better programs out there though. I think a Google search should be able to uncover more.

ReplyDeleteThus Pandora, having opened the box...

ReplyDeleteActually, it was mainly a dig at the Post That Started It All.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations Tuh-tuh-tuh T-UNIT!
ReplyDeleteThanks to this blog I'm an insufferable theological know it all. ;) God bless you guys!
I disagree with most of your posts, but I must admire that intellectual energy. Congrats, Triablogue crew, and many more.
