Apostate of the month
Certain quarters of evangelicalism have developed an apostate of the month syndrome. Attention is lavished on celebrity apostates who recycle schoolboy objections to Christianity on their way out the church door. In the meantime are hundreds of millions of nameless unreached people around the globe, not to mention countless nameless Christians who persevere despite severe hardship and persecution. They should be the focus of our attention, and not charismatic, photogenic apostates. This is just a personality cult.
