Gays are portrayed by Mass Resistance as quite the organized cabal!
What's the hellish existence that will fall upon us should this group of shadowy, underworld group of misfits (that apparently congregate and plot the doom of America every Wednesday night during "show tunes") get their way, exactly?
The reports are coming in ...
""It was just awful — they smashed through our living room window, one of them said 'I've had my eye on you, Roger,' and then they dragged my husband off kicking and screaming," said Cleveland-area homemaker Rita Ellington, one of the latest victims whose defenseless marriage was overrun by the hordes of battle-ready gays that had been clambering at the gates of matrimony since the DOMA went into effect in 1996."
Fundies may be wrong in their beliefs but I will say this for them: they have too much integrity and respect for their opponents to stoop to tactics like this. If someone disagrees with me, I'd prefer he confronts me face to face and not deal in propaganda.
Secularism is most certainly not a panacea for the world's ills. I'm starting to agree more and more with sociologists who regard religion as a useful fiction for the masses (ie. the Lutheran "first use"). The complete lack of ethics of these people is appalling. Anything is better than this, even Falwell.
its like reading something out of the Screwtape letters. It seems inspired by a higher ranking demon.
