I am glad someone is finally addressing this angle. Perhaps I'm reading the wrong responses, but I have yet to see someone consider this aspect, which is the first thing that came to mind when I read Tomlinson's argument.
Tomlinson has framed his argument in such a way that he has every incentive to reject every reply as completely wrong. But at least others can learn from his intransigence.
