Interesting in that the blogger still attracts comments of the "yes, but" variety. One or two of them still stumble over Spurgeon's famous observation about Calvinism and the gospel and demonstrate that they don't quite understand what Spurgeon was getting at.
On the face of it, Spurgeon's statement shouldn't be controversial. Every theological tradition thinks it got it right while other theological traditions are mistaken in varying degree. The fact that folks pounce on Spurgeon's statement reflects their own lack of critical self-awareness.
