Earlier this month, Ben Witherington posted an update on the James ossuary. I suggest reading the comments section as well. He and the other posters discuss some of the issues relevant to the ossuary, such as the existence of Jesus, the resurrection, and the perpetual virginity of Mary. On that last issue, see especially the post by Phil W. I wrote on the perpetual virginity of Mary a couple of years ago here.
I'm undecided on the authenticity of the James ossuary. I don't know enough about the relevant evidence. But it does seem likely that the early dismissals of it were premature. And, as Ben Witherington's thread linked above illustrates, it has implications for a wide variety of issues.
