John M. Frame on the Narrow Mind

Dr. Frame will be on The Narrow Mind Monday 010/02 9am-10am Monday. The topic: "Redemptive Historical Preaching."

This should be an interesting show and is sure to ruffle the feathers of some Westminster Seminary profs.

  1. Paul,

Excuse my ignorance here, but how do Frame and WTS disagree on redemptive historical preaching?

  2. Hi John,

    See these:

There was a problem out here with a church who had some members that were students at westminster. The pastor preached on the good samaritan and tried to apply it to them and their situation (while also making Christ the main theme, he *is* the ultimate good samaritan, etc). But the students said the pastor was not to do that, he was *only* supposed to "point people to Christ." This is the "over controlled" aspect Frame talks about.

Remember I said "some" profs at westminster would get "their" feathers ruffles. I did not mean to imply that "all" of the profs would. Thus this is not necessarily a "westminster" thing, but a "profs at westminster" thing.
