Craig Keener is a great Bible scholar–the F. F. Bruce of his generation. He recently did a post on young-earth creationism:
Other issues aside, I find his overall position a bit incongruous (to put it mildly). For he recently published a magnum opus defending the credibility of miracles in Scripture and church history–up to the present time. It's passing strange to defend precognition, spirit-possession, raising the dead, limb regeneration, &c., but balk at Gen 2-3. Why stick up for Lourdes, but draw the line at Gen 2-3?
