  3. Unfortunately, Fred, that's the case not only for you, but also for just about all the Christians I've met: they read only literature which confirms their religious commitments. It's when you poke your head out of the sand that you start to see the light, but not until then.

    I strongly doubt it. Our culture is deeply permeated with all kinds of religious literature, and most members of society have been exposed to it in varying amounts since their childhood. Most people who identify themselves as atheists are quite aware of what religionists claim, so your suspicion of hypocrisy is most likely premature.
