Over the past 7 years I really tried to be part of an atheist "community" but the problem with the very idea is the fact that an atheist community is united around what they don't do. Well Atheism shares a belief in the non existence of God. And from that premise it constructs a worldview based on various philosophies. Atheism does not occur in a vacuum. Also if there is no Atheist community why is there organizations built around the concept ie American Atheists, American Secular Humanist Association? etc.
