That's a hopeful development. He's a more consistent conservative than Newt, but w/o all the baggage. And he's obviously far more conservative than Mitt. He also has the potential to generate more enthusiasm among the base than Mitt.
Steve, I think you're right about the "enthusiasm" part, and I think that's going to be the most important factor going forward.
Pete, I had not seen it, but I'll give it a look. I'm obviously not excited about Santorum because he's Roman Catholic. But I do like some of his policy positions.
