If God established a creation ordinance, a proper order in creation that the church is to obey (such that women are not to hold the office of elder), shouldn’t Christians apply that in every sphere of life?
Interestingly enough there was just within the past hour a segment on cnn with the female anchor and female guest ganging up on a male pastor about evangelicals supposedly hypocritically supporting Palin as a potential president while still holding that females should not hold church office, trying to push that evangelical support for her might help for some "progressive" measures in evangelical practice. Pastor held his own but it was surprising to actually see some scriptural back-and-forth on cnn.

ReplyDeleteI think Dr. Sproul's wife still adheres to the practice of head covering on the basis of a similar position regarding creation ordinance.
