Francis and Edith Schaeffer, founders of the unique Christian community in Switzerland, L’Abri, had a daughter who was struggling with mathematics at her school. Priscilla had complained that she could never get through her algebra without a tutor. The Schaeffers could not afford one, so they prayed about it. The next day a Czech refugee came to visit and to ask the Schaeffers' advice about his wife’s spiritual needs. The man was very grateful. What could he do? He happened to be a math teacher!
