A Day in the Life of a Street Preacher

This short promo video does a good job of capturing what I deal with on a weekly basis, especially the "afflicted" woman that is shrieking wildly while Pat Necerato is preaching near the end of the video.

  1. My guess is that 90% or more of pulpit preachers have never done street preaching.

And my guess is that the majority of pulpit preachers would recoil in utter horror at the idea of having themselves do street preaching.

And I also guess that a good number of pulpit preachers believe that street preachers are doing more harm than good as witnesses for the Gospel.

  2. I currently think street preachers do more harm than good. I wonder if this documentary will address that issue?

  3. I have done a lot of street preaching and door to door evangelism and would encourage more men of God to rise up and do what these brothers did on that street corner in New Jersey.

With regard to this video, too, I say, yeah baby, yeah, mindful to be thankful for their labors in the Lord!

1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

  4. Hi Tory,

"I currently think street preachers do more harm than good."

I'm curious, what is it about street preaching that makes you say that? Is it the venue, the style, a particular preacher, the fact that its not politically correct?

Most modern preaching (regardless of where it occurs) does more harm than good. Many of America's preachers are fleecing their flocks and peddling the word for profit rather than God's glory. However, God has raised up several good preachers that preach the word whether it's convenient or inconvenient (2 Tim. 4:2-4).

  5. The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. Philippians 1:16-18 KJV

The True Gospel will not return unto him void but will perform that which it was sent out to do. We fear that men can corrupt the message of Christ Jesus, but in the end, his word will be performed.

We must believe that God knows what he is doing, even if men do not.

His message shall go forth, even unto the ends of the earth. Every knee shall bow, and every tounge confess.

    God Bless you all.
