Lest You Forget...

The current President has demonstrated he is not equal to the enormous responsibilities of his office; he cannot rise to meet challenges large or small. Thanks to his disdainful attitude and his failures, our allies no longer trust or respect us, and our enemies no longer fear us.

That's a pretty harsh indictment of Biden.

What?

That was the letter signed by more than 200 retired generals against Trump last year?

Oh.

Well, at least there are no mean tweets anymore.

Surely this isn't evidence that God is upset with people who preach, but do not practice. Who tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and give rules like "don't misgender" and "check your privilege." God's not going to be upset with people who do their good deeds on Twitter for all to see while in secret they grope their interns. These people who cross sea and land to gain a single convert, and once they have that convert they turn them twice as woke as they themselves.

Don't harsh my buzz, and other things Boomers say. God is love. He understands you did your best.

I mean, you didn't, but you would have if it hadn't been for Netflix.  And that's the important part.

  1. I see lefties trying to (of course) pin the Afghanistan controversy on Trump, since pulling out of Afghanistan was something that Trump wanted to do. However, nowhere is it shown that Trump would've fumbled all the major decisions so badly, including estimating how long it would take the Taliban to take over, trying to evacuate Americans after the fact, or looking away as the Taliban goes door to door killing Christians.

    1. I've always thought atheists arguing against the NT showcased some of the strongest examples of motivated reasoning, but oh boy, is the left's defense of Biden (even if there are articles critical of him, there are still plenty of defenses) looking even stronger. Saying Trump tied Biden's hands might be the silliest. Biden worked as quickly as possible to undo Trump's actions, but Afghanistan is the one and only place he deferred to precedence?

    2. Not to mention that several Pentagon officials have admitted they lied to Trump about the number of troops we had in places like Syria (and I believe also Afghanistan, but don't trust my memory) to pretend they were obeying his orders to draw down when they weren't. Suddenly, Biden says to just abandon Bagram in the middle of the night, and they just do it. Trumps withdraw orders had logic and reason behind them. Biden's didn't. They obey the crazy orders and ignore the reasonable ones.

This is why I had my final paragraphs, because I don't think anyone can objectively look at this and not conclude this is judgment being poured out (not just on the US, but there were tons of European allies trapped as well because of this). People often limit 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 to eschatology, but I think this is relevant today: "Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness." Tell me that isn't what you see in our government today.
