  1. I see you are working overtime trying to derail the Trump train. Sorry, but this train has no brakes and huckabee and Santorum realize this groveling to Trump at his fundraiser that has Fox News on suicide watch

This is unintentionally funny. If Trump is a train without brakes, then I'd hate to be on this train due to what usually happens to trains without brakes! :-)

  2. I don't know the man although I was present at a meeting he was present at with one or more of his attorneys in Palm Springs years ago. What I attribute this manipulating language to is his training. Lately because of the buzz and constant print and audio news reports that include him speaking I have paid close attention to his thoughts and what he is saying. I have also watch all the Republican debates. Having done my fair share of international negotiations at high government levels both in Washington D.C. and a number of other countries, I understand what he is getting at when he talks about how the United States negotiates bad deals that make no economic sense. It is so easy to spend OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY, that is the tax dollars that pays for the stupid deals the State Department and Defense Department and other cabinet level agencies enter into that obligates payment with other people's money.

That said it seems to me he is masterful with his language and training.

I was always taught to communicate on such a level a third grader can understand me. Might it be this is what he was taught as well and why the way he talks is so third grade a level when speaking? Could it be he is speaking to the majority not the minority who have been well educated and able to comprehend the complex subjects being discussed with complex language structure?

  3. Everyone manipulates language--even RINOS. That is what language is for. Nothing morally wrong with that. God created language to, using the linguistic term, negotiate. This video would had been more helpful if it were grounded in an articulated speech-discursive theory.

  4. Why doesn't Justin Taylor and others post a video showing examples of Obama making incoherent statements when he is not able to depend on a teleprompter? I don't think that day is coming any time soon, and we all know why.

    1. It's not as if Justin secretly supports Obama, and is protecting his reputation by not showing videos of Obama unscripted. Obama is a lame duck, in his final full year in office. What would be the point? He isn't facing reelection.

  5. Why do you hate on Trump? It's like an avalanche. One of them hates it and now everybody hates him. I really do love this blog but what's up that?

Most people who criticize him misrepresent him.

    1. The only way to misrepresent Trump is to depict him as an honorable man.

The "avalanche" is due to the obvious fact that we are on the eve of the first primary. Timing.

    2. Just recently I did two posts devoted entirely to scores of Trump quotes. This is Trump in his own words, proudly documenting his depravity and megalomania. No room for misrepresentation.

And that's apart from his socially liberal track record.

A better question is, why are many Trump supporters such rabid Trump supporters? Why do many Trump supporters take otherwise valid and sound criticism of Trump like a personal affront? Why can't many Trump supporters be more open-minded and willing to weigh Trump just like they'd weigh any other candidate? Why are many Trump supporters so unreasonable when it comes to Trump?
