  1. So I guess the idea of having to elect the Republican because he will appoint conservatives is now shown to be the BS it always was.

    Fact the awful truth...no matter who wins, we will be screwed.

    In different ways, perhaps, but still screwed.

    Republican judges are usually conservative, and they tend to be better than Democratic judges even when they aren't conservative. Since there isn't any third party that's a reasonable option at this point, we have to choose between Republican judges and Democratic ones. The Republican ones are significantly better, even though they aren't always what conservatives want them to be. Republican judges don't have to be perfect by conservative standards, and they don't even have to be better than they've been so far, in order for it to make sense to vote for Republicans in order to get better judges.
