Separated at birth?

Is it just me, or am I the only one to detect the uncanny resemblance between Glenn Peoples and Cousin Itt?

  1. Hey, I understand you have somewhat of a reputation for being controversial and possibly too, dare I say it, attacking people; but I wonder where grace comes into it all? It may be hard for you to step outside your own situation and appreciate where Glenn is coming from, but we in NZ are in a different country to you. If you were in a more secular environment where being a Christian let alone an evangelical is not particularly cool, popular, or taken for granted, the smaller differences amongst committed evangelical followers of Christ who are willing to stand up in the public sphere and engage secularism may not matter so much to you. Glenn is a good friend to a church in NZ in need of them.
Personal attacks like this are ugly and petty and as, as far as I know, you haven't actually met Glenn, I don't understand the phenomenon. Please dare to be charitable.

  2. I never thought comedy was unchristian. The Bible itself exhibits a comic touch from time to time.

However, I'll be sure to pass along your concerns to American Christians ensconced in Bible-belt enclaves like New York, Massachusetts, Oregon, the Bay Area, and Seattle.

  3. André,

It's instructive to see how easily you rewrite history. For the record, Glenn was the one who initiated the "attack" on me, not vice versa. I did two little posts on WLC. Matt/Maddy weighed in, then Glenn took a swipe.

I'm merely responding to Glenn's attack, not the other way around.

  4. The eyes are a dead give away after contemplating your attempts at actual investigative reporting!

    Very perceptive of you!

But, apparently your perceptions of things differ with other more perceptive sorts beyond your perceptibilities?

Have you considered having your eyes checked?
