I haven't read Frank Schaeffer's book. But I did read the Internet Monk's review of the book and he highly commended it to all his readers.
FWIW, I did read Frank's book "Portofino" about 5 years ago. I was surprised at the "fictional" slam towards his parents in that book.
Given that, I'm really glad that a person of Os Guiness's stature, who has the added credibility of being Franky's best man, lambasted the contents of the book.
My highest commendations to Os Guiness for giving Franky Schaeffer a dose of his own medicine.
I wonder how it relates to his earlier stuff. I read "Dancing Alone" and he was careful to cast virtually all of the blame for virtually all the problems of the world onto Western culture. He didn't strike me as entirely even-keeled at that point either.
And it wasn't a very good apologetic for EO-xy either.
