Super Frauday

It looks like Trump is on the verge of taking another big step toward becoming the Republican presidential nominee. On the same day on which he'll probably win the large majority of Super Tuesday states, a court ruled that the fraud case against his Trump University can go forward. Read the story I just linked for more details, including the unanimous nature of the court's decision and the evidence that Trump and his organization were involved in fraud. Though Rubio and Cruz used the last debate and the days since then to make people aware of the Trump University scandal and a lot of other problems with Trump's candidacy, it looks like their efforts haven't changed people's votes much. Most likely, the large majority of Trump supporters didn't watch the debate, don't do much research on political issues, and are too dishonest and careless to be convinced by this sort of evidence to stop supporting Trump.

Republicans are in the process of knifing Cruz and Rubio in the back in order to make an obvious charlatan with a long liberal history their party's nominee. One of the likely results will be a radical transformation of our culture as more liberals are added to the Supreme Court by Hillary Clinton. The Court will become even more of a second legislature than it already is. And hundreds of other disastrous consequences can be added to the list.

But at least we can look forward to 2020, when Republicans nominate Jerry Springer. I'm sure Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity will be ready and willing to help make it happen.

  1. It's quite possible that in this election cycle, both parties will nominate indicted felons.

  3. They say that Americans get the politicians that they deserve. It certainly seems that Americans are more and more deserving of worse and worse politicians.

    1. That's an overgeneralization. If Trump is the nominee, that's not because I voted for him. If Hillary wins, that's not because I voted for her.

In addition, we often get stuck with voting for lesser candidates because preferable candidates are eliminatedearly on–before or during the primary season.

  4. I've suddenly come to the realization that Trump is a poor man's Pat Buchanan.

I knew I'd heard Trump's talking points somewhere before, and it finally hit me tonight. He's channeling a dumbed down version of PB.

......or Michael Savage, who is unabashedly pushing Trump. Probably by 2020 Rush. Hannity, et all will have been in forced retirement and all talk radio will be a clone of NPR.
