Gays and gender

But I'd like to make a more specific point:

This goes to the issue of what makes homosexuality wrong. The basic argument is that men and women are psychologically as well as physically different in ways that make them complementary. 

Two apples comprise a couple of apples. They are interchangeable. By contrast, two shoes comprise a couple of shoes without comprising a pair of shoes. A pair of shoes is more than a twosome. It's a specific kind of twosome. A matching pair, where a left shoe and a right shoe correspond to distinctive differences and distinctive needs. 

If souls are essentially genderless, then there doesn't seem to be anything intrinsically wrong with homosexual attachment. But isn't that a pretty superficial analysis?
