I just have to note: "liberal" is often used as the modifier:"Liberal Christian""Liberal Protestant""Liberal Northerner""Liberal European""Liberal Professor""Liberal Catholic"etc.Usually it shouldn't be the modifier or even appositional. It would match reality better to make it the operational identifier with any other descriptor being tangential.
no, "liberal" should stand alone as it's a religion all its own. The difference lies in which particular synod of Liberalism one calls home.
