Trump toadies

Palin said the problem with Paul Ryan and "his ilk" was that "they have become so disconnected from the people whom they are elected to represent, as evidenced by Paul Ryan's refusal to support the GOP frontrunner who we just said is our man."
She suggested Ryan's political career was over "because he has so disrespected the will of the people."

Excuse me, but Ryan wasn't elected by Trump voters. He was elected by Wisconsin voters. And Wisconsin primary voters went for Cruz, not Trump. He beat Trump by 13 points.

The will of which people? I, for one, didn't vote for Trump in the primaries. I won't vote for Trump in the general. He doesn't represent my will. Yet I'm one of the people.

It's striking to see how Trumpkins are striving to arm-twist the rest of us into backing their idol. Their intolerance for dissent mirrors the Left.

  1. What's more, Ryan didn't say he was decidedly against Trump. He's taking a wait and see approach. For Palin to target him like this at this point is premature, to say the least.

Then again, when has Palin ever thought before she acted? For that matter, when has Palin ever thought? She's as unthinking as a stormtrooper.

Just as I had hoped and predicted previously CNN now reports that "According to several sources close to Cruz, the Cruz campaign conducted several secret polls to see what the impact would be if Rubio joined Cruz as his running mate, with Cruz at the top of the ticket.................What did polls suggest a Cruz-Rubio ticket would do in those states? "Blowout," said a source close to Cruz. "65%-35%," with Trump losing."

    1. I still think a well known conservative like Cruz or Rubio (or Cruz/Rubio) should run 3rd party to stop Trump and possibly to win over Clinton. That's despite the previous pledge by all the Republican candidates to support the eventual GOP nominee, since Trump is absolutely not a true Republican, not a true conservative and not a true Christian. The candidates who did run 3rd party could justifiably say that the GOP nomination was hijacked by a Democrat in Republican's sheep's clothing. What better time for conservatives to unite in support of a 3rd party candidate than now? At least it'll make the statement that conservatives are still a large voting block (even though we might be in the minority) and so candidates should not take us for granted in the future.

Hillary's presidency will almost certainly be one term because of her age and poor performance. And there are rumors that her heath and temper aren't under control. Also, for all we know, the failed impeachment of the 1st President Clinton will be successful for the 2nd President Clinton.

    2. Unconditional pledges to support the nominee are foolish to begin with. Moreover, Trump is loyal to no one but himself, so loyalty to Trump is a one-way street.
