So Arminianism is actually a type of theosophy. I'm waiting for SEA to begin running articles by Annie Besant, Rudolf Steiner, and Helena Blavatsky, as well as Post-Blavatskyan soteriology.

  1. Not directly relevant but Ive always found it interesting that A. W. Pink was a Theosophist before his Conversion.

  2. I haven't examined the blog thoroughly but from the little i have, I doubt the blog author holds to theosophy (as the term historically has been used). The name of the blog is "Theo-sophical Ruminations" and a description of the purpose of the blog under the name says, "A collage of theological and philosophical musings." This may be a Christian website with an unintentionally misleading name and URL address.

    1. Which is why my post was satirical. It's just funny that SEA is oblivious to the connotations of "theosophy."

    2. In the "About" section of the blog the person who appears to be the author says,

No, I am not a Theosophist. “Theosophical” is a term some non-Theosophist’s use to describe an approach to religion that bridges theology and philosophy (which is why my blog’s tagline is “a collage of theological and philosophical musings”).

      when asked,

Are you a Theosophist? Theosophy may be very different than what you are referencing in you blog title. It’s an occult term for divine wisdom, most commonly known for the int’l society that was created in 1875. I’m just wondering because I handle social media(FB & Twitter) for the Theosohical Society in America and have the term among my google alerts, which for obvious reasons, tags you.
