    Hm, I guess this is how "Jesus loses":

    If Ehrman wins, then all the worse for village atheists like Carrier.

    If Carrier wins, then all the worse for atheism as a whole since village atheists like Carrier are increasingly speaking for atheism.

  5. I think what RWH is saying is, no matter who wins, atheism loses. Jesus will be just fine.

    I didn't know anyone including Christians claimed Jesus "be magic," yo! Someone might claim Jesus practiced magic. Or that Jesus isn't any more real than magic. But not that Jesus is (or isn't) magic. That's a novel claim!
