Kvetching about John Lofton

At his instigation, I’ve been debating our goy puppet, John Lofton. Up until now, we’ve kept the true identity of his website a state secret, but his outfit is beginning to outlive its usefulness. For example, he recently issued this thinly-veiled threat to the news media expose our base of operations:

“Why don’t you get off your respective butts, investigate the charges of the ‘9/11 Truthers’ and find out what is true and what is false? Because if you find out that the U.S. government was complicit in the 9/11 attacks and covered this up, this will be one of the greatest, most heinous crimes in history.”

Oy Vey! Due to this impending security breach, the Mossad has authorized me to out the American View in order to contain any further damage to our undercover operatives. Truth be told, the American View is a Zionist front operation.

You see, we at the Mossad operate from the philosophy that it’s best to hide in plain sight. We were using the tactics of misdirection to deflect public attention away from what is really going on.

To be precise, the American View is a front for the Carlyle Group, which is a front for the Trilateral Commission, which is a front for the Illuminati, which is a front for the Rosicrucians, which is a front for the Templars, which is a front for the Elders of Zion.

The name of the American View is an anagram for “I’m new avarice,” and, as everyone knows, Jews are avaricious. If you don’t believe me, just ask Shylock.

Steven Spielberg (yes, he’s on the payroll) staged 9/11 as a diversionary tactic while we introduced gefilte fish into the menus of public school students in order to dilute the precious bodily fluids of the Master race.

This will no doubt comes as a revelation to John Lofton. Like any useful dupe and all-purpose fall guy, he was kept out of the loop to preserve plausible deniability.

In fact, unbeknownst to himself, Lofton is actually an orphan. Our adoption agency (Rosencrantz & Guildenstern, Inc.) placed him with an impeccably waspish family, as part of the grand plan.

He's half-right. There is a conspiracy. But he was kept in the dark about his own bit part in the grand plan.

Is John Lofton a Christian? And if so, on a 2x2 matrix of theological and political persuasion, where does he stand? I know this is crude, but it helps me to understand a bit more what this spitting match is about.

For example, is he a theological conservative and a political liberal? Is he a theological and political liberal?

    What's his beef?

    Hilarious, as usual!

It is quite difficult to understand the irrational. This makes it quite difficult to understand Lofton too. Indeed, it is easier to understand Lofton if you do not try to use logic. Seek the warm center of the universe (found inside most Spider-man lunch boxes) and you will be granted understanding.

    Truth asked:

    Is John Lofton a Christian?

A more foundation question: Is John Lofton real? I think Bush invented him to make it look like crackpots exist so as to give neo-cons street cred.

    Mad cow disease.

It's likely that Lofton is a Reconstructionist type:

They're all into the "hate the evil 'neo-cons'"/anti-war/Jews-are-evil/conspiracy-theory types.

Also, see here for what I mean:

In partial answer to your question, this is how it all got started:

    JOHN LOFTON, RECOVERING REPUBLICAN SAID:

“Bible-believing Christian site TheAmericanView.com; please visit, comment.”

You can form your own opinion about where to place him along the political/theological matrix. From one I can tell, he occupies much the same niche as Fred Phelps.

  6. Here's our "Mission Statement." Comments welcome; would prefer they are coherent. Thanks. JL

    Mission Statement

“For the nation and kingdom that shall not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.” — Isaiah 60:12.

As Christians, we are commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ to teach all nations — including ours — to observe all things He has commanded (Matthew 28:18-20). This means bringing into captivity to Christ all areas of life and thought. This means destroying arguments that are against the knowledge of God (II Corinthians 10:5). In obedience to these commands of our Lord, this Web site is established. We covet your prayers for our success in obeying Him.

We are seriously concerned about, deeply grieved by and lament the fact that far too many of today’s so-called “Christian leaders” are a sinful embarrassment and are responsible for the cause of Christ being mocked and ridiculed. By being, first, cheerleaders for the Republican Party, they have dishonored their Lord and sold their Christian birthright for a mess of partisan political pottage. These individuals and organizations are Christian in name only, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.” From such, it is added, we must turn away.

Secular, Christless conservatism — even when it is supposedly “compassionate” — will not defeat secular, Christless liberalism because to God they are two atheistic peas-in-a-pod and, thus, predestined to failure.

More than 100 years ago, speaking of the secular, Christless conservatism of his time, the great Southern Presbyterian theologian, Robert L. Dabney, observed:

“[Its] history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution, to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward to perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it, and always advances near its leader. This pretended salt hath utterly lost its savor: wherewith shall it be salted? Its impotency is not hard to explain. It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It tends to risk nothing serious for the sake of truth.”

Amen! And what Dabney says has been proven with a vengeance in modern times, under recent Republican Administrations and Congresses who were supported enthusiastically by individuals and organizations who called themselves “Christian” but who, alas, when judged by their fruits, were not.

To those who will accuse of us of desiring and trying to bring about “a Christian America,” we unashamedly plead guilty though the accusation is far too modest and somewhat muddled. To be sure, we desire a Christian America, and a Christian world, a Christian galaxy and a Christian universe. And, over time, by His grace, we hope to demonstrate that all these things already belong to the Lord Jesus Christ because He created them all and they are His property. This is why all knees must bow to the Lord and all tongues confess that He is the Lord — because He is!

    Jude 1:3 3

“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” (KJV)

  7. Well, John, that sounds oh-so noble and all, but when we compare your mission statement with the fact that you and your contributors smear the American military, oppose the war in Afghanistan, side with Hamas against Israel, lend credence to the 9/11 Truthers, &c. then the lofty sentiments in your mission statement ring exceedingly hollow.

If you’re going to wrap yourself in the mantle of Christianity, then you need to exhibit a modicum of moral and intellectual discernment. For example, 9/11 conspiracy theories have been deconstructed by Popular Mechanics, which doesn’t have the ideological agenda of the Weekly Standard or the National Review.

Likewise, when your view of military recruiters is indistinguishable from the Berkeley city council, then there’s nothing especially “Christian” or “Biblical” about your own position.

Fred Phelps also likes to drape himself in the mantle of Christianity, and his own views of the American military are scarcely distinguishable from your own, but that doesn’t make his theology or ideology the least bit Christian.

Dabney was a fine theologian and, in some respects, a social prophet. Very prescient.

But let’s not forget that he had a huge blind spot about the Southern institution of slavery. His view of gov’t was jaundiced by the civil war, where there was plenty of blame to go around.

  8. Thanks to everyone who responded. I have a much clearer idea on the presuppositions.

John Lofton, I like the biblical ideals that you espouse in transforming the culture. Jesus is Lord of all! We are to be salt and light in a fallen world.

But in practice you're a political iberal using politically liberal means to effect what you perceive as a transformed culture. A culture that is transformed and informed by a theologically liberal perspective.

So why not agree to disagree agreeably? Why impose left-wing policies that are near-Fascist which just undermine the whole spirit of having Jesus serve as Lord in our hearts, in our institutions, and in our country?

That lacks full coherency and integrity.

"... the fact that you and your contributors smear the American military, oppose the war in Afghanistan, side with Hamas against Israel, lend credence to the 9/11 Truthers,...

Yikes! John, is your organization like a Christianized version of Code Pink?

Thanks but not thanks. I'll decline the offer. No offense, but while you claim that Christians who vote and support GOP are shills for evil conservativism, please do consider the other possibility for yourself: You and your organization are duped "useful idiots" for a leftist liberal agenda that's actually seeking to remove the Triune God from our culture, and is pro-abortion and anti-family by relentlessly promoting gay marriage.

Take a deep and long look in the mirror, turn your accusing finger back upon yourself, and imagine that you're the one being duped and used. I think you are.
