During the vampire apocalypse, you better have a cache of wafers to stave off the bloodsuckers!

  1. Sounds like Iconic Inquisitor Iago has been watching too much Vampire Hunter D, Trinity Blood, and other Japanese anime.

For what it's worth, I've never seen it, nor do I ever plan to, but the South Korean film Thirst (2009) is about a Catholic priest who becomes a vampire. However, not anime.

    1. To judge by Ebert's review, the vampiric priest isn't celibate. But since he's dead, perhaps he didn't technically break his vow of chastity. Does canon law have a special provision for undead priests?

    2. I guess a huge advantage of Catholicism is Catholicism can hocus pocus anything it wants in order to fit anything it wants! :) The Catholic church is maybe second only to Hinduism in how flexible it is in accommodating contradictory ideas or teachings.

Also, a huge benefit of being a Catholic vampire priest is the Catholic vampire priest can always turn wine into blood to have a limitless supply of blood to drink.

  2. Would he spontaneously combust when reciting a holy prayer, like Straizo in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 2 when he intentionally turned on his Hamon to kill himself?
