Because 49 people were gunned down in a gun-free zone, the blindingly obvious solution is to extend gun-free zones by disarming New Zealanders so that snipers will have more targets of opportunity. Only progressive politicians could come up with such a brilliant response.

I remember someone commenting that schools used to have gun clubs and some people (I assume in the south) would drive around with gun racks on their trucks. Yet, if tempers flared people would get in fistfights rather than start shooting. If true, this hints that the problem is societal but then what? Do you suppose it's true what some say that the problem is due to rising fatherlessness?
ReplyDeleteI began high school in 1988 in western Kansas. Gun racks were not unusual in pick ups until the federal ban.
