Ironically, gay propagandist Andrew Sullivan pens a commonsense piece attacking the transgender component of the LGBT alliance by defending gender binaries:

The article didn't impress me.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it ironic? Gay men like men precisely because they're men and because of their personality and physicality. In fact, some elements of gay culture exaggerate masculinity to an almost satirical level: Tom of Finland was an artist who portrayed men as almost grotesquely muscular and clad in military garb.
ReplyDeleteThe transgender movement got lumped into the gay rights movement simply because it's transgressive. The underlying beliefs aren't really compatible.
