LGBT "rights"

Matt Flannagan is a Christian ethicist who draws some useful distinctions in response to militant atheist Keith Parsons:


He makes one mistake about American history, which isn't surprising since he's not American:

The Jim Crow laws didn't allow businesses to discriminate against black customers. Just the opposite: they mandated discrimination. 

It's the difference between the legal freedom to discriminate and the legal obligation to discriminate.

It was right to strike down the Jim Crow laws, which violated the 13-14th Amendments.

So that's not analogous to requiring businesses to practice nondiscrimination.
