It takes tremendous foresight and planning for a man to become a woman. Given the California drought, "Caitlyn" is just a few brownouts away from being the bearded lady in the circus. He better keep the batteries recharged on his electric razor.
One could use a straight razor as a fallback, but during a power outage, it's imprudent to shave in the dark. You need a steady hand and lots of candles when wielding a straight razor on yourself.
