I'm on the right side of history

Mary Cheney, the openly gay daughter of former vice president Dick Cheney and younger sister of Wyoming U.S. Senate candidate Liz Cheney (R), said Sunday that her sister is on the "wrong side of history" by opposing same-sex marriage.

Social liberals increasingly resort to this phrase. I'd simply point out that, by that metric, Christians are on the right side of history:
31 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, 31 because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead (Acts 17:30).

  2. Christians are also on the right side of theology, teleology, morality, pathology, sociology (et cetera) on the issue of homosexuality.

Teleologically because God designed there two be only two human sexes who should be attracted only to the opposite sex.

Pathologically because homosexual behavior puts one at great risks for sickness and injury.

Sociologically because a monogamous one man one woman marriage is the best environment for developing well adjusted children. As well as being the best fundamental building block of a stable society (economically, politically, culturally etc.).

  3. Also future history belongs to whomever wins the grandchild wars. Homosexuals won't be among them.
