It's often said, even by Christians, that there's been a sea change in public opinion about homosexual marriage. Perhaps so. But we need to cautious about polling data. Polling is politicized:
Regnerus' comment that "many minds have not been made up" is applicable to a lot of issues in our society. People will often vote for a president based on personality, race, incumbency, or whatever news item is most prominent just before the election. Such factors will lead them to vote for a liberal Democrat one year and a conservative Republican the next time. There's still a lot of opportunity to move the culture in the right direction, but it will take a lot of persistent work.
