Title could easily be "Why sinners of all stripes hate Jesus." Which is why the claim "I like your Christ but don't like your Christians" (ala Bono, Ghandi, etc.) is meaningless. In fact, they don't love "our Christ", they love a christ of their own making who goes beyond loving sinners into approving of their sin.
Maybe some gays hate Jesus more because of some Jesus' followers than because Jesus Himself.
