Mark, do you know why the Connecticut school killer stopped killing other people and ended up killing himself rather than continuously killing more people? He was alerted that armed people (the police) were entering the building! So here we have a good example that guns deter killing.
The same thing happened just recently at a mall when the killer was confronted by a police officer he quickly killed himself. He would have continued to kill more people at the mall if he was not confronted with another armed person.
We need to get rid of idiotic gun-free zones because all it does is invites mass killers: churches, schools, theaters, malls, etc.
