Christina Rossetti was one of the great Christian women in church history. Of course, church history is chock-full of great women, but most of them live and die in obscurity. They are wives, sisters, mothers, and grandmothers rather than public figures.
What sets Rossetti apart from most other great Christian women is her eloquent piety. She had a rare gift for expressing her life and faith.
