Steve, thanks for dusting this one off and posting it. I had not read it before and it's very helpful when considering the Green Baggins' "Twin Lakes and Inerrancy" thread discussion with Ph.D student Stephen Young.
I think Dr. Baugh's concerns here are quite valid:
"The outcome remains to be seen, but sadly, I fully expect that those who follow Sparks and other "evangelicals" today who embrace a defective Bible will eventually recapitulate the old liberal options ending up with their own 1960s death of God movement further down the road."
