Honestly, the transformative experience of actually reading the Bible, was for me, always the strongest witness to its status as the Word of God. I also read it cover to cover, as I was going to school, selling and using cocaine and marijuana, and stealing thousands of dollars from my job every week. I cannot remember having much of a conscience up until that time of my life. I literally felt like a conscience was miraculously *inserted* into me as I read through it. I still try to read it every night and it still continually transforms me.
