Does religion originate in the brain?

If it is true that we are biologically and evolutionarily "hard-wired" to believe in God, then that would seem to me to be evidence supporting Alvin Plantinga's "Evolutionary Argument Against Naturalism". Assuming that God doesn't exist, it would be evidence that our cognitive faculties select for beliefs because of their survival value, not because of their truth value.

    It's funny how if you just let atheists speak long enough, they will eventually give you the rope to hang them with.
