The Christian Understanding of History

There are some theological deficiencies in Latourette's outlook. Still, if you make allowance for his limitations, this draws a useful contrast between secular historiography and Christian historiography.

  1. What are the deficiencies? Haven't read it yet, but inquiring mind(s) want to know. I doubt they'll all be obvious to me.

  2. There's an Arminian cast to how he frames some of the issues. A supralapsarian Calvinist would frame some of the issues quite differently.
