I attempted to go through this argument with an naturalist friend and his response was, "Well, we can test to see if our cognitive faculties are functioning properly." After going around on this for quite a while he finally said, "I still don't see what the relationship is between beliefs and natural selection!" At this point I abandoned all hope.
