Vote!

If you are living in the US and are registered to vote, and if you are reading this and have not voted, do yourself a favor...turn off the computer, get to the polls, and vote. There are troops fighting abroad to bring democracy to Iraq. You may or may not disagree with the war, but we are still there, and it would be a disservice to them if you didn't vote. It doesn't matter if you're a Christian, Jew, Muslim, Mormon, or Atheist...turn off the computer and go VOTE!

  1. I just voted.

It really disturbs me how they DON'T check or ask for your identification. Any wacko can take my place to vote!

  3. I say to all those who don't research the particular positions that the candidates are running on or their current voting records and legislation, etc. Don't vote!

  4. Frank,

You're so ugly they know you couldn't be anyone else.

    Brian,

Start weeping and begging for mercy.

God's will was done: the Democrats won.

God's is sovereign. He loves Nancy Pelosi so much He gave your tears to purchase her as speaker. And, more and more, it's looking like Senator Harry Reid will be pounding the gavel in the Senate.

Would that make you put on sackcloth and ashes, Brian?

God loves the Democrats. More than the Republicans, at least.

  5. God has chastised the evangelicals of America for relying on an arm of flesh. Like the children of Israel of old, they have placed their trust in the horsemen and chariots of Egypt.

Truly, anonymous, God is Sovereign, and His ways far above our ways. Let us give thanks to the Lord God of our Salvation and, if this is meant as a warning to the churches in America, let them repent of trusting in an arm of flesh and turn to the one in whose hands are the hearts of all magistrates and rulers.

And, on a partisan note, may Blair receive the same drubbing next year.

  6. Next year being the elections for the Welsh Assembly and the Scottish Parliament. If Tony Blair's Labour Party does very badly, they could end up unable to form even a coalition government in the Assembly.

Oh, and, anonymous, I think you'll find the vast number of voters haven't a clue about the position of the candidate, especially those for local government. This side of the pond a person's considered politicallyinformed if they even know the name of the local MP.

As for which party God loves more, I like the reply of former Tory MP John Enoch Powell, when asked by an interviewer what he thought Jesus would have said regarding Britain and the Common Market (as it then was). "Jesus would have said 'My Kingdom is not of this world.'"

  7. Frank,

    Did you weep?

    Brian,

    We (Dems) now have Congress.

    Are you weeping?
