Hyper Preterism X Science

From Steve:

Hyperpreterism reminds me of Hinduism or Christian Science. We have all these detailed, endtime prophecies in Scripture, yet Hyperpreterism reduces them to Maya. What they describe should be treated as a massive illusion or VR program, for—appearances to the contrary not withstanding—we’ve actually living in the very world which they predict.

In this respect, Hyperpreterism is a throwback to the old allegorical school of exegesis, where anything can be anything else, like Ovid’s Metamorphosis.

Once you open that door, step inside, and shut the door behind you, you will find yourself forever lost within a maze of trick mirrors.

Paul Manata has penned a detailed critique of Hyperpreterism which I heartily commend and recommend to others.
