Worse case scenario for Hitler was that he killed approximately 10 million people; Stalin's best case scenario was that he killed 30 million.<br /><br />The deal with Stalin was also a stupid deal for other reasons. At the time of Stalin's death, he had developed nuclear weapons and was preparing for war against the West. Had he not had a stroke (possibly due to his generals assassinating him--his final night alive is shrouded in mystery) then no one would even think of offering such an analogy. Rather we would see a short-term deal with Stalin helped fend off Hitler, only to see Stalin nuke England.<br /><br />Incidentally, while the world dodged a bullet with the death of Stalin, I personally think voting Trump to avoid Hillary is the same scenario except with Stalin surviving.
