Unbelievers deny the existence of God because they’re afraid of divine judgment.
All you provide here are assertions with nothing to back them up. Based on my own knowledge of the Bible (which I've read 9 times in 8 different English translations), I can confidently say that the Bible does not even say these things. Regarding the 'fear of divine judgment', why would an atheist of any stripe fear that which they believe does not exist?

You also say:

Did Jesseph arrive at his theory by conducting a scientific survey of Christian opinion?
One might also put the same question to you regarding your assertions.

One thing I detected in this post is a lack of discernment regarding atheism in all of its forms. It is not quite as simple as theists (Christians, specifically) claim it is. George H. Smith, in his book, ATHEISM: THE CASE AGAINST GOD, provides some very cogent and well-reasoned arguments to demonstrate, rationally, not only the distinctions between implied atheism and explicit atheism, but also why it is irrational and unreasonable to assert that those who do not believe in the Christian God are atheist. The fact that there are those who believe in god(s), but not the Christian God, shows that such an assertion flies in the face of the definition of 'theism'.g d townshendehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02273940169271398206noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6789188.post-64049654488379106262007-04-25T20:58:00.000-04:002007-04-25T20:58:00.000-04:00sexual license?? afraid of divine judgement?? pe...sexual license?? afraid of divine judgement?? perhaps you should apply your same critiquing of jesseph to your own hypothesis. Exposing the brain to electrical currents or chemicals can cause experiences indistinguishable from real life or alter a person's personality. When brain tissue dies a part of the person dies with it - e.g their ability to recognise faces.
Can we read our thoughts off a brain scan?
New technology can tell us what sort of thought a person is having - whether they are thinking about a face or place.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6789188.post-1136403459116576872006-01-04T14:37:00.000-05:002006-01-04T14:37:00.000-05:00is this co-inky-dink?I also have a more brief and ...is this co-inky-dink?

I also have a more brief and not as well-thought-out critique of Jesseph on my site: http://presstheantithesis.blogspot.com/2005/12/case-for-atheism-critical-review.htmlErrorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10615233201833238198noreply@blogger.com
