I mentioned it over at Beggar's all, in the combox discussion here.

http://beggarsallreformation.blogspot.com/2012/07/american-can-only-survive-with-old.html

Keep up the good research and articles!Kenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17824685809003307918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6789188.post-79661933752267198962012-07-06T17:32:32.784-04:002012-07-06T17:32:32.784-04:00A point to be made and made well I might add, John...A point to be made and made well I might add, John!

What I want to point to is the work of the Holy Spirit in bringing a person "into" the unchanging Truth and nature of this Living Truth (Christ, the mystery hidden until the time of the Apostles and Prophets who were hand selected to reveal Him) becoming a living epistle known and read by those who know what they are reading or rather seeing when they are witness to the fruit of this "living word" in a disciple of Christ.

Someone noted and so I note it, too, that the fruit of the Spirit that the Apostle Paul writes about that should be manifesting in our life is not the fruit of our life but that of another's!

It does not say the fruit of my spirit @ Galatians 5. Paul writes about the fruit of my flesh which are these "...". See Galatians 5:19-21. In contrast to that, my flesh and the fruits thereof, Paul points to the work of the Spirit in the life of the Believer. The Apostle Peter acknowledges this work as the "sanctification" work of the Spirit.

Apostolic succession is a ploy of the devil to draw the Elect away from the Truth, which Truth is the same Truth exactly yesterday, today and forever!

I come back to these Words of Paul written by Luke @ Acts 20:

Act 20:32 And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

I point to Jesus' Words @ John 16:

Joh 16:12 "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.
Joh 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
Joh 16:14 He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.
Joh 16:15 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.
Joh 16:16 "A little while, and you will see me no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me."

Does God need any help saving His own?

Does the Holy Spirit need any help guiding the Elect into this Truth?

This idea of apostolic succession is a ploy.

What we see developed and became the result of it is the New Testament writings. These writings became an intrical/integral part of the Scriptures and are adequate enough for the Truth to be established.

These writings are adequate enough for Christ through His anointed to govern His anointed, when necessary.

If I would "judge myself correctly" I would not need to be "disciplined" by pastors and elders and deacons only affirmed.

Even pastors and elders and deacons were disciplined by the Church from time to time.

Anyway, those were just some free flowing thoughts that came to me after pondering this thread!natamllchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05362006343221525741noreply@blogger.com
