What hasn't changed, though, is human nature and the need for the Savior's help:::>

Luk 3:16 John answered them all, saying, "I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
Luk 3:17 His winnowing fork is in his hand, to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire."
Luk 3:18 So with many other exhortations he preached good news to the people.

Well, I guess it is to the giving of "many more exhortations" then, keeping on keeping on, preaching good news to the people who have been given ears to hear!

Here is a warning that strikes hard my soul:::>

2Pe 3:17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability.
2Pe 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

At times I have seen just how easy it has been for me to lose my own stability in the midst of the lawless errors of a lot of people!

Act 20:32 And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6789188.post-86531858690003003852009-10-20T10:16:32.566-04:002009-10-20T10:16:32.566-04:00In the providence of God, I was thinking only last...In the providence of God, I was thinking only last night, that I don't have time to do what I need to do, while at the same time lamenting that when I do have time, I don't often chose to do what I ought.

Specifically, Bible reading and study...

So this post made fairly direct contact with that portion of my face located between my eyes.

Thank you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
