(26:18-19).<br /><br />One may argue that what's being spoken of here in the proverb isn't a caustic sense of humor, but I've seen that a caustic sense of humor can often have the same result. <br /><br />What I've tried to do, often unsuccessfully, is reserve my caustic sense of humor for my friends that I know have a thick enough skin to handle it.
