Since he sleeps most of the day, he spends his late afternoon/early evening hours responding to the diabolical forces of evil on this blog. So, please keep this to yourself and stop asking. If the FBI finds out you've been asking too many questions, well, I'm not sure it would be good for you....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6789188.post-1162563658104527642006-11-03T09:20:00.000-05:002006-11-03T09:20:00.000-05:00"Speaking for myself, one of my basic problems wit..."Speaking for myself, one of my basic problems with pretribulationalism is the way in which it automatically isolates and then aligns various passages from different authors in different genres writing to different readers. There is not much effort, that I’ve seen, to ask preliminary questions regarding the occasion and purpose of the passage in question with respect to the target audience. It’s just assumed that all these passages are talking about the same event."

Another problem I've always had with this view is the way it imposes futurist interpretations onto ancient passages. For example, the Gog/Magog invasion in Ezekiel requires reading "tanks" where it says horses and "rocket launchers" where it indicates bows & arrows and so on. It seems terribly counter-intuitive.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6789188.post-1162555475213452522006-11-03T07:04:00.000-05:002006-11-03T07:04:00.000-05:00Hi Steve,I'm wondering, what is your 'day job?' What kind of work affords you the time to post such great content in such vast amounts?

Thanks!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6789188.post-1162535298274784912006-11-03T01:28:00.000-05:002006-11-03T01:28:00.000-05:00I disagree that post-millenialism has the better l...I disagree that post-millenialism has the better line (start out on high, fall, attain yet higher level). Only if you are including the world in the line. If you only include the elect then their rise is steady.

Anyway, in both post and amil there is a - the - penultimate crisis eventually. With amil it's all just minus the Jewish dreams.

Amillenialism is the elegant, simple truth of Scripture regarding this particular aspect of the history of redemption.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
